I’m Brandt Miller, a Somatic Experiencing® practitioner and facilitator.
I help people explore and change the patterns that shape how they relate to themselves, others, and the world. We work with what lives in the body and in the deeper layers of personal and ancestral experience, at a pace that honors your whole system.
One-on-one sessions online, with in-person intensives by arrangement. Groups and retreats in person.
- Somatic Experiencing® Three-year somatic therapy training
- Breathwork Advanced breathwork facilitator
- Facilitation Five years with Thomas Hübl
You can’t bypass the body
I love story. But much of what we carry lives beneath it, in the body and the nervous system. That’s where I begin, from the ground up. You don’t need to know the whole story for something to heal.
Over time, we expand the nervous system’s capacity to hold more of life’s intensity and to move through hard states without getting stuck in them. Alongside that grows a sense of safety, joy, and aliveness.
This work is relational. So much of who we are has been shaped through our relationships, and it’s through relationship that new possibilities for healing, connection, and belonging can emerge.

Vast lands and inner landscapes
For years, I made documentaries for National Geographic, Discovery, Smithsonian, and others, listening to people’s stories and spending long stretches in remote places. A Fulbright brought me to Mongolia, a place that has shaped my life and work for nearly two decades. I later founded Steppe & Soul, offering transformational pilgrimages at the threshold between the domesticated and the wild.
Over time, my curiosity about the stories we tell turned toward what lives beneath them. My own healing journey became part of that inquiry and drew me to somatic work.
